About Trevor Laak, Figure Skating Coach

Trevor Laak is a figure skating coach in Madison, Wisconsin.  He specializes in on-ice jump technique.  Trevor works almost exclusively as a consultant to other skating coaches by providing pole harness, computer video analysis, and regular lesson services to them and their skaters.

In order to promote computer video analysis and the latest tools and techniques for figure skating coaches, Trevor created the website SkatingCoachQuiz.com.  The website provides a series of Dartfish analysis videos by elite Dartfish skating coaches.  The website also provides survey results and general information for skating coaches.  The website is completely free but does require signing up.

Trevor recently joined the faculty of Audrey Weisiger’s Grassroots to Champions (G2C).   G2C runs seminars that teach coaches and their skaters how to develop from the first steps onto the ice into a championship caliber competitor.

Trevor is also in the process of creating a new website (coming soon) that provides an online community for coaches to share ideas and research.  His own research focuses on quantifying minimum athletic requirements for specific skating elements.  Trevor has a graduate research degree from the prestigious University of Wisconsin in Madison.  He holds 6 patents and has provided technical consulting for several Fortune 500 companies.
